Reminder to everyone (even though the media keeps forgetting it): Hawks can’t tank. Spurs own all of their first round picks for the next 3 years. They have no choice but to try and build a capable team on the fly. So if they trade Murray/Young look for players that can help more than picks I’d assume.

Murray has the cheaper contract (honestly a great one) and would theoretically cost less from an asset standpoint. Even considering that fact, a Trae/Zion duo would be absolutely insane offensively with Herb and Trey Murphy. They just need a non-stiff center at the 5 (Claxton?) and they could actually push top 4 in the west. You can’t guard that. Lot of people forget the last time Trae had two good/great shooters, an elite finisher at the 4, and a mobile center, he was two games from the finals. Except now his shooters play defense and the elite finisher at the 4 is the only other person in the league outside of John Collins who I’d want finishing a lob.

Young is so much better than Murray. This has to be fake.

That’s why we stink…. Young should easily be the target.
