Again not too much to write about… go figure… it’s November. I had a nice chat with my Callaway source today and got some interesting bits of news.
Golf Equipment Reviews, Pro Tips & Latest Sport News
Lets Look At Japanese Sites!
My Titleist source has told me that the company should release a few new irons by July. He says there should be a new CB, a replacement for the 704CB and a replacement for the 804 O/S. No word on the 400CC driver or 695MB irons but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if both made it to market next year.
Interesting Golf Clubs Winning On Tour
A few quick notes from the tour…. Nickent took the #1 hybrid club honors on the Nationwide Tour again last week. This club is the real deal and it is showing no signs of slowing down! Grace Park won last week’s LPGA event using the Nike Golf NDS irons. These were suppose to be Nike’s “value” priced club but it is gaining popularity with even the best players. Most industry people feel they will be one of the best selling irons next year.
Nike Golf Looks To Increase Tour Stable
www.clevelandgolf.com now has pictures and information on the new Launcher COMP driver. Expect to see this club very soon at a store near you.
Chad Campbell And Cleveland Golf Part Ways
A little note to the Golf Town thing yesterday… there should be some sort of press release on Monday concerning the rumors that the company is about to go public.
Dynamic Gold Shafts Sweep The Weekend
I mentioned a while back that the Nickent 3DX Ironwood has been a popular club on the Nationwide Tour. It has now been the number one hybrid club on the Nationwide for the past month and is showing no signs of slowing down. There were 24 of them in play last week at the Miccosukee Championship.
I Want A R7 Trucker Hat!
Wow what a slow day! It gives me some more time to work on the Great Club Comparison though. It should be done soon and then I will start working on the “Players Irons – Mid to Low Handicap” version. Just some little odds and ends today…..
Big Golf Bag Merger
So I have seen a bunch of reps over the past few days as they are making their rounds to show us the “new” products. I would love to tell you all about these “new” products except that I told you about them a long time ago! Wow don’t you feel like such an insider?
Kuehne Signs With Hogan Golf
Ok I don’t have too much today because someone forgot his notes at work….
I have heard from 2 different sources in 2 different parts of the country that Hogan has now signed Hank Kuehne. This rumor has been floating around for a while now and it looks like it has finally come true. Hank should be a good addition to the Hogan family but it should be noted that he does not have a PGA Tour victory.
Big Shocker New TaylorMade Drivers!
I found out a bit more about TaylorMade’s plans for the R7 Quad line. There should be at least 2 more versions of the club coming out in 2005. The first (expected in March or April) will be a shallow faced version of the original one. This club is being used on tour and should be called the R7 Quad HT. It will be under the TP (Tour Preferred) name and will be geared towards the better player. The second R7 Quad will be the much rumored 440CC version. My source says that this club probably will not be released until August or September. I have heard from a few TaylorMade sources that the company plans to tone down the number of new club releases in 2005 in an effort to build consumer confidence.
