First Time Landing a Walleye: A Fisherman’s Triumph

First time actually landing a walleye, got it on a berkeley soft Mach shad. Thanks to my light setup and 6lb Flurocarbon. Funny thing is I had one break off right at the bank the night prior with the same setup and it wasn’t even a 1/4 of this size.

Walleye are my favorite fish to eat… I’d prefer it over salmon any day… As long as it comes from the right lake… Nice catch!

That’s a nice walleye. Congratulations

Congrats. I caught my first a couple months ago. After handling trout, bass and sunfish, their scales are uniquely different to the touch.

And a nice one at that!

Nice. What’d you catch it on?
