Sometimes that happens to me. I usually need to eat something and rest a bit and it goes away. Maybe you worked your muscles too hard and the inversions and blood flow was too new to the body. Some poses can make me dizzy too.

The comedown after a new experience? Sometimes I have to psyche myself up so much to get to and through the experience that afterwards everything else comes rushing back.

No expectations makes practice so much more enjoyable 🙂 Yoga is a tool for self exploration/development that can help you work through your anxiety, but it isn’t a magic cure that will take it all away after 1 class.

Sometimes I have heightened anxiety a little after a yoga class or even a therapy session. Yoga is a release for your emotions even if you don’t realize it in the moment. That can be scary for all of us, but especially those with trauma/anxiety. I think of it almost like an emotional hangover lol. Yoga can make us feel very vulnerable, which can be scary afterwards. I would stick with it and maybe try journaling how you’re feeling after class. As someone else mentioned, make sure you’re eating enough before & after and hydrating since it could be physical! I would also really focus on the breathwork in class and try to implement deep breathing throughout your day. One breathing technique I like when I’m feeling very anxious is taking a huge breath in, and then breathing in a littttle bit more, and slowly exhaling. It’s like a nervous system reset.
