Hey Camilo… About That TaylorMade Deal…
Remember TaylorMade announcing that Camilo Villegas will join their staff in 2011? Apparently Titleist isn’t too happy that the announcement was made so early and they’ve filled suit against TaylorMade – adidas Golf and Villegas. Check out the press release below. Looks like we’ve got a bit of a fight on our hands. Stay tuned…
A Pain in the Gut
The Gecko Euro Pro Tours recently announced that they are banning all belly putters from use in their tournaments “until further tests can show that there is no unfair advantage gained by the use of [them]”. This made me laugh. How can you ban something without proving it’s an advantage? Or better yet, how can one putting style be considered to give unfair advantage when any player who chooses to can employ the stroke?

Kuro Kage Shaft Specs: Driver, Wood & Iron Breakdown
Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by. Today we’ve got a new release from MRC Golf of the KURO KAGE Silver driver, hybrid and iron shafts. This release is on the heels of the popular KURO KAGE Black shaft released earlier this year. These shafts feature a High Density Prepreg, which means a lighter shaft with enhanced stability to the average consumer. This prepreg is positioned in the lower third of the shaft, which is said to enhance stability and feel through the tip section, which will deliver consistent ball flights and less spin. This new model has a stiffer tip and mid section, when compared to the Black model, but a softer butt. If you’re looking for a lot of shaft stability, low launch and minimal spin, this new shaft may be up your alley. See the full shaft specs and pictures below.
