Cleveland Launcher 460 Comp Driver Review
The “comp” craze in golf has really hit a fever pitch. Comp this, comp that… when will it end? More and more companies have been adding a comp driver to their line up and the Launcher 460 Comp is Cleveland’s entry into the comp frenzy. Before we get to the Launcher… let’s take a moment and review what exactly this whole comp thing is all about.
Callaway RAZR Hawk Driver Review
The Club:
Today I tested out a Callaway RAZR Hawk Tour Driver 9.5 degrees with a stiff RIP Alpha shaft (60 grams). I should mention, I currently play a Callaway FT-3, that I can’t seem to get rid of (and for good reason). Yes, I know it has an odd sound – but it’s one of the most consistent and reliable clubs I have in my bag. If you didn’t know already, the Callaway RAZR Hawk features a forged composite technology that Callaway custom-built with Lamborghini. This new material allowed Callaway to move around weight to produce what they say is a club that’s uncompromising in every way… (until next year’s model I suppose). A little about me, I’m 5 foot 10, swing around 105MPH with a very smooth transition and tempo. I play a consistent 5-10 yard draw, my miss, is getting quick and snapping it.
Cleveland CG2 Iron Review
Blades are quickly becoming a thing of the past… companies are finding new ways to make clubs that have blade-like feel and looks while providing the forgiveness of a cavity.
Mitsubishi Fubuki K-Series Shaft Profile
Profile – Mitsubishi Rayon has recently released their latest addition to the Fubuki series of premium wood golf shafts. Players like Lucas Glover and David Love III initially tested this latest shaft –the Fubuki K Series – earlier this year. Results have shown this new shaft to launch the ball on a slightly lower ball trajectory than the Alpha, but with the same amount of spin, and increased ball speed. To become available on October 1st at a retail price tag of $400 – this shaft is definitely geared towards better players looking to get the most out of their game. This shafts claim to fame is its ability to generate the optimal high-launch, low-spin ball flight better players are after. This shaft is available in a variety of weight classes, 50, 60, 70 grams and flexes ranging from R – X stiff.

Wilson Pi5 Iron Review
Wilson used to be on the top of the world. If you were a player back in the day, you probably played a Wilson iron. Even last year… we had so many people come in my shop talking about the days of the Wilson Staff… “why don’t they make the Staff anymore?”, “I used to love my Wilson Staff irons and now I can’t find them in stores anymore”.
Cleveland Launcher XL 270 Draw Quick Review
Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by. Although we’re still trying to get rid of our snow here in Canada, I was itching to get my swing on this weekend, so I hit up our local Golf Town to test out some clubs. Yes, I was hitting into a screen, but what can you do! High on my list of clubs to test was the Cleveland XL 270, and after testing it out today, I was pretty impressed. Here are my thoughts:
The Club:
This was my first experience with the Miyazaki stiff shaft – this custom-built C. Kua shaft for this Cleveland series is only 39g, with a flex code 6424. At only 270 grams, this club is extremely light, and it feels great in the hands even before swinging. I was hitting the 10.5 degree draw model, which sat noticeable closed at address.
