Hey everyone. SirPutts and I are in mourning after the Chargers loss today so I think we’ll let The Golf Drill Guru entertain you tonight. We’ll be back tomorrow with some lead up to next week’s Orlando PGA Show!
How To Fix Your Slice
How to Turn Over Your Wrists
Nine out of ten golfers suffer from a slice. It is the most common ball flight in golf. Many of my students have come to me, saying they need to get rid of their slice, they are losing distance, accuracy and consistency.
Uphill Lie Drill – Cure Your Slice
One of the most common causes for a sliced shot is an upright swing. This means the swing is too vertical. From this position getting the clubface square at impact is quite impossible. More often than not, it stays open, leading to the slice. This is a very common swing fault for juniors, women, seniors or players with reduced power or mobility.
Side-Armed Drill – Cure your Slice
The Problem: The player has a problem releasing their wrists in time for impact. At impact their right hand and forearm are under the left, leaving the clubface open.
The Result: A high ball flight that usually lands right of the target.
