SirShanksAlot Remarks: It’s nice to see some golf ball manufacturers making an effort to help the environment. We’ve seen biodegradable golf balls before, but their performance and durability were questionable. I’d be curious to see how a company like Bridgestone tackles these issues.
Acushnet’s recycling program, is also nice to see, I wonder if people will bother though. What are your thoughts?

SirShanksAlot Comments: We got our first look at some of the ultra high-end custom Scotty Cameron putters out there. These putters range from $8 – 16k. Really beautiful stuff – the problem is, you would never want to putt with them.

SirShanksAlot Comments: No real surprises here in our opinion. Cobra first launched the ZL Driver in all white (but an exclusive launch at $625 a pop). TaylorMade launched their white R11 driver. Now it seems Cobra is launching another all white S3 Driver, to get some of that market. Interesting. I’m liking the white RIP shaft. See more pics

SirShanksAlot Comments: For a golf course built in the desert – it would be nice to see more sand traps. Obviously, this golf course was only going to be for the super-elite. 75 mansions, and 22 palaces? Wouldn’t want to spray one off these tees. What a waste of money!
Callaway Sued Over "Octane" Trademark

SirShanksAlot Comments: Callaway is apparently getting a taste of their own medicine, by being sued for trademark infringement. You’ll likely remember Callaway suing Titleist for patent infringement.
You know I’m no lawyer, but come on now, it’s just a word – no one owns it – I see it at local gas stations all the time. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.
Mitsubishi Rayon Fubuki AX Hybrid Shaft

SirShanksAlot Comments: Mitsubishi Rayon recently debuted their new Fubuki Ax Hybrid shaft at the Bob Hope Classic this week. This shaft has a stiffer tip – .370 vs the old .350. Ball flight is mid with good consistency.
