Callaway's MWT Driver Patent

Source: The IP Golf Guy – The Golf Patent Lawyer (Golf Inventions, Patents, Litigation, Trademarks): The New Feo Diablo?

SirShanksAlot Comments: An interesting patent from our friends at Callaway. Movable weight technology is anything but revolutionary these days. It is ironic however that Callaway is giving TaylorMade such a hard time about their R11, then they go and product a patent for a club with MWT. Hmm…

Adams Speedline 9088 UL Driver & LP Fairway Woods

Source: Adams Speedline 9088 UL & Speedline LP Spy Pics!!! – GolfWRX.com

SirShanksAlot Comments: Here’s our first good look at the Adams Speedline 9088 UL, which indeed stands for Ultra-Light, with a weight of only 290 grams, it’s up there with Cleveland for the lightest drivers on the market. Stock shaft is the Matrix HD Radix 4.1 – which really pops with the contrast of the all-black driver head. The Speedline LP Fairway woods feature the same slot-technology as the F11, with a slightly smaller head and lower-profile. I think Adams has some instant winners with these new clubs. Check out some picture below, including comparisons between this new line and F11 series – plenty more pics at the link above.

New Ping G20 Driver Pics & Details

Our first look of the Ping G20 Drivers! The USGA recently tested and approved a right-handed and left-handed models in 8.5, 9.5, 10.5 and 12 degrees. These are black and white pictures – but give you a good idea of what these highly-guarded new clubs look like!

Enjoy!

Update: Here’s some details for you guys: The new Ping Driver is expected to hit retail stores in mid-August, as a MSRP of $350 (not too shabby if I do say so myself).  This driver features a 5% increase in MOI due to the head shape, a 460CC head (despite it looking even more massive) and is accompanied with either a TFC 169D or TFC 169D Tour shaft to produce a softer feel. When compared head-to-head against the G15, the G20 produced a 0.75 degree increase in launch angle, with 200 RPM less spin, and 1MPH increased ball speed off center hits. Not a huge difference if you ask this golfer, but who knows – the tour guys are already playing this driver, after it’s release at the Fedex St. Jude Classic… so it’s gotta be good.

Update: We’ve also recently added a color picture of this Ping G20 Driver as well from MyGolfSpy.

Adams 9088 UL Driver Spy Pics

Source:SPY PICS! – Adams 9088 Driver

SirShanksAlot Comments: Okay! First of all kudos to MyGolfSpy for getting our first glimpse of this highly-guarded new driver from Adams Golf. You may recall an earlier “rumor” post about Jamie Sadlowski tweeting that he would post pics of the new Adams driver, before his tweets were subsequently deleted. Details are slim on the beauty, the version shown below is the UL version – we’re not sure what UL stands for – thinking maybe “ultra-light” or “ultra-long” but most likely the latter. Adams also build a LDA model for Long-Drivers of America, but we’d also expect to see LS and LD models as well, which stand for low-spin and long-distance respectively. The blue shaft seems to hint at Oban Devotion as a stock shaft. Enjoy the pics! We’ll keep you updated as details come in. Additional pics over at the link above.
