If you are still in this phase at year 5 I would be surprised. Most pickleball “honeymoon phases” last 6 to 12 months. I’m not 100% sure but it was a long tournament and I missed the 1st half of the Dolphins vs Bills playoff game. No.

I mostly play singles…. An hour and a half straight of relatively competitive singles will wear your ass out.

Omg I’m in the same boat! 2 months in and it’s become my entire personality 😂 I’m driving everyone crazy with my pickleball madness. My longest day was 7.5 hrs, with only one break!

Longest I play are 3-hour open plays and they’re pretty exhausting as there usually isn’t much of a wait between sessions at my local indoor place. I’ve gone through a couple of paddles since I started (looking for one that suited me) and I think I’ve found it. Quelled my desire for more, much to the relief of my wallet. For now, anyways 😵
“dangtypo”The magic doesn’t fade but there may come a time when you start taking some breaks in between sessions (just a few days) for a mental and physical health break. The longest I’ve played is about 4 hours with very little time between games. I was like this until I found a paddle that just “feels right” and suits my play. Now I am content and won’t get another one until the paddle is actually no longer holding up.
_yesterdays_jam_I’ve been in tournaments that go 3+ hours, but there is downtime while waiting for your next opponent.
